Our Potter Hill Finds in 2023

It will be many months before this year’s finds are evaluated and dated. The results of which will help in the writing of a comprehensive report about all of the archaeology found. 

There were 461 sherds of mainly Roman pottery found. Over 60 finds of Roman ceramic building material. Some animal bone and teeth, plus some small metal finds.

The trenches themselves revealed a complex set of ditches and clues about the settlement of this part of Potter Hill
