During the summer of 2022 the archaeology group was a local “Community Champion” at the Witham St Hughs Coop. The group was chosen by a vote of Lincolnshire Coop members earlier in the year to be the Community Champion at that branch.

Customers and staff at Witham St Hughs Coop helped raise funds for the group as their branch’s Community Champions to assist with this year’s excavation costs.

At the end of September 2022 this meant that a total of £1341 had been raised.

Jac Sutherland from the Lincolnshire Coop presented the group with a cheque for the money raised at our archaeology walk on Sunday 16th September at Hill Holt Wood.

We wish to thank all the staff and customers at Witham St Hughs Coop who helped raise us this money through their fund raising.
