Geophysical Survey on Brills Farm<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Details of survey<\/span><\/p>

The Norton Disney Group in January 2019 commissioned Contour Geophysics to survey three areas. The primary area being to the south west of Villa farm.<\/p><\/div>

The conclusion of the report was that towards southwest corner of the area the feature form possible animal enclosures or field systems likely to be connected to occupation. The shape of the features suggest they date to the Roman period. Aligned just off these\u00a0ditches and just north are a second set of ditches. These\u00a0contained magnetic material possibly from a close by furnace. The shape of these ditches suggest they may have used for water management and could date to the medieval date; however, an earlier or later date cannot be ruled out.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
